You may be wondering what the WELLNESS INDUSTRY actually is. Well, wonder no more for I shall tell you.

SICKNESS INDUSTRY
You go to see your doctor or any other member of the medical profession when you are sick and you get prescribed drugs because you are sick. The pharmaceutical industry has done much good but now it's the biggest cartel in the world together with the chemical industry and it is just formulating products that you will need to take for the rest of your life. That's the Sickness Industry.

Not so long ago, the doctors in Israel went on strike and guess who complained the most? Would you believe, the funeral directors! Business was bad while the doctors were on strike!

An estimated 70% of illnesses and diseases are caused by poor nutrition and if doctors were taught to give proper nutritional advice, instead of prescriptions for toxic drugs, the hospitals would only be half full.

So, what is the WELLNESS INDUSTRY?
It's everything from health foods to health clubs, from cosmetic surgery to personal trainers. Look at how much fitter and leaner the rich people are. That's because they made a lot of money and decided they wanted to stay around longer to enjoy it. Hence, the ever growing Wellness Industry. But the great thing about a growing industry is economy of scale and competition, making it possible for ordinary people to benefit.

Great Article!!!

Wouldn't it be great if Health Care and Medical Care were the same thing? I still remember sitting through classes where doctors taught us that diet and exercise are important for weight loss and cardiac care, but that's about it. The biggest joke was learning that solid vitamin supplements are not good because they go right through you. Excuse me Mr. "Take Two Aspirin and Call Me In The Morning", why should I believe that vitamin pills do nothing but pills full of medicine are just dandy?

Ask a doctor when the last "cure" was "discovered"... Most that I have asked answer Jonas Salk's since Polio is all but irraticated in the US. Fair enough. However, how long ago was that? With the billions spent on Pharmaceutical Research, you'd think there would be a better track record than that.

Like you said, medicine as done a lot of great things, and when it comes to trauma no one can touch medical. However, when Medical Docters and the AMA start pointing fingers at alternative Wellness techniques and treatments, I point back and ask them, how many patients are killed each year because of medical mistakes?

Thanks for a great reply. You might be interested in the books and opinions of Philip Day, a very good investigative journalist who is the bain of the pharmaceutical industry and the medical profession. His research, using their own numbers, shows that western medicine is the third biggest killer in the world today. His site is www.credence.org
